Today was very interesting, I was very nervous about being here, but I have enjoyed myself.
Hearing Don speak about the importance of library history was very enlighting.. I have learned that the day to day history of the
library is important to always remember. When Ms Sloan spoke about the bookmobile history , I can't help but think of my library, because we started out with the bookmobile also, it has a special place in my heart. This trip is a major step for me, I have never drove
beyond Knoxville, and I have never been away from my family.
So glad I'm not the only one nervous about being here!
ReplyDeleteAmanda, this is a newsy post. You've been really courageous to travel so far by yourself and be away from your family. I know they miss you. I could tell you are becoming more comfortable speaking in front of the group today. You jumped right up to present your group's work this afternoon with ease...no nerves. Bravo! Gail
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time to be completely away from all family and old friends, too. I used the word "old" with specific intent, because we are all making new librarian friends here. :)
ReplyDeleteI also thought about my library during the presentation on the TN Regional System. I especially enjoyed the three pictures that had people in them that I know and could easily recognize.
